With the palm trees, bright liight, and skyscrapers, I would have guessed California if someone showed me this picture and asked me where it was.  Nairobi is a city of extremes.  BTW, I see your comments but can never work out how to reply directly. Those cute little otter like creatures are in fact dwarf mongoose. We have them all over the place, very entertaining and they keep the snakes at bay.
