1. Purungat Bridge. The Mara River divides the Trans-Mara side of the reserve from the Narok side with Purungat Bridge as the only way to cross - by vehicle - from one to the other. A favourite spot for tour drivers to stop for picnics, because of the toilet facilities, and tourists can also buy a bottle of overpriced soda (but still cheaper than the lodges) from the rangers. The profits of which are spent on supplementing weekly rations and the occasional bottle of beer.
